Equipment

• A balloon
• lots of different coloured scraps of wool
• PVA glue
• Thick ribbon to hang the egg

Method

• Blow up the balloon
• Place a small amount of PVA glue in a dish
• Dip a piece of wool into the glue
• Once it is covered in glue wrap the wool round the balloon
• Repeat this with lots of other pieces of wool, you will have to constantly refill the dish with PVA as the wool tends to absorb it all
• When the balloon is covered to satisfaction, hang it up overnight to dry
• In the morning cut a small hole in the balloon to let it deflate
• The balloon will shrink leaving the wool cage behind, this is quite fascinating to watch
• Using the thick ribbon tie a bow to the top of the wool egg and hang from the ceiling
