Each board comes complete with two magnetic rods for picking up the pieces and each beautifully designed piece, when lifted, reveals a number from 1 to 10 printed on the baseboard. A fun way to introduce discussions about sea creatures and creepy crawlies whilst at the same time developing hand/eye coordination and manipulative skills. In addition, the wooden pieces themselves could be used as templates for drawing round and colouring.
